TRAINING & PLACEMENT CELL

Department of career guidance, training & placement is an integral part of Sahyadri Institute of management & research, sawarde. The institute has provided sufficient infrastructure for effective functioning of the department. Training activities are organized throughout the year in an effort towards preparing the prospective students for the campus selection programmes.

Department of career guidance, training & placement, facilitates the process of placement of students passing out from the Institute besides collaborating with leading organizations and institutes in setting up of summer internship and training program of students.

The department liaises with various industrial establishments, corporate houses etc which conduct campus interviews and select graduate and post-graduate students from all disciplines. Department of career guidance, training & placement provides the infra-structural facilities to conduct group discussions, tests, and interviews besides catering to other logistics. The department interacts with many industries in the country. The industries which approach the institute come under the purview of:

  1. Service industries
  2. Manufacturing industries
  3. Consultancy firms
  4. IT & non-IT enabled services
  5. Pharmaceutical/chemical industries

The placement activities run through the course of the year commencing the month of Jan to February. as per the fest-o-career program. As per mutual convenience pre-placement talks (ppt) are also conducted in this regard. Job offers, dates of interviews, selection of candidates etc. Are announced by the department. Department maintains a very cordial relationship with all the recruiting industries and also prepares the recruited candidates to face the competitive world.

PROCEDURE

OFF / ON CAMPUS

Invitations are sent to corporate companies, firms and Consultancies organizations along with the Details of Streams.

Corporate companies, firms, and organizations may contact to TNP Department on given contact details and email/post to Professor, Training, and Placement.

If the Company /Firm / Organization wish to visit the campus and conduct a Pre-Placement Talk (PPT) before the interview sessions, they can send a request along with the preferred dates.

The Job Notification Form is made available to the students along with all the other information furnished by Company / Firm / Organization and the Department of Training and Placement propose a date for the Pre-Placement Talk (PPT) and the selection process.

Companies, Firms/organizations are expected to visit the campus on the date allotted to them and conducts the PPT. Interested students attend the PPT and resumes are made available to firms.

After that the companies conduct the selection process in the campus.

The companies visiting the campus are required to furnish the final list of students selected to Career Guidance, Training and Placement Officer, after the completion of the selection process. We register a job against the selected students and they may or may not be allowed to appear for other firms interviews as per placement policy.
